11/30/90 Colonial Theater, Keene, NH (Rvwd 4/95) The Mike's is really raw and glorious, especially in the jam segment. Nothing complicated in here by any means, but the jam Trey messes with is very commanding. It sounds kinda like the main theme to Low Spark (Traffic), but slower and off key (which is to say, just ignore what I just wrote..). It is a great, dark, funky Mike'S. Hydrogen kicks in at nearly the 6 and a half min point, and it is standard. Week kicks in after a few, and Mike smokes in the beginning as usual, but not as outrageously as I've heard him jam in this opening before. This is a solid version of Weekapaug, but not outstanding at all. Nothing of special interest. The jam is very solid, and creative, but it just doesn't reach any overwhlemingly special places, in my opinion (which is to say, places more special than your typical Weekapaugh..!). C rating.. 15 minutes total time for this Groove.
