This opening segment has the TWANG (see 00:12 ALO YEM).
Excellent jamming from Trey on/around the Notes, for the
most part. Both Notes are hit with gusto and are RIGHT ON
TARGET.. a great opening. Charge at 4:56.
"Boy" at 5:13. FWIW, this version is a lot more exciting
than the late '89 versions I've reviewed.. just has a more
upbeat, HAPPYTOSEEYOUAGAIN groove.. ;)
Page's tramps segment jamming is great as usual.. Trey
breaks out around 9:08 or so. His jamming is typically
good.. your run of the mill melodic, continuous
noodling/soloing. Not much repetition at all... (Page
mimics him a bit, as usual) Some nice fills from Fish..
Mike is very low in this mix, unfortunately.
Bass and drums at 11:05 (early, but this is a quick
version). Mike is very reserved.. not much from him at
all. 11:42 the WUDMTF closing segment begins. Vocal jam
is pretty lame, in my opinion. Basic. Plebeian. Possum
kicks in at 14:30. This is a slightly below average YEM
in my opinion. Not quite a run of the mill standard great
version. (C- rating)
