Dan, I hope you are doing well! When you get a chance, please replace the
4/12/91 review on the website with the following.
best regards,

4/12/91 Barrymore Theater, Madison, WI
High quality copies of this show are out there.. I have a
copy off of what sounds pretty clearly to be a cDSBD, and
not a cleanly digital board (i.e., a cass>DAT and not a
DAT).
Opening is fine.. Mike's solo section is especially
engaging. He's aiming to please.. Trey's first strike at
the Note isn't quite as pleasant as it often is, a touch on
the precariously unpleasant side.. his second strike is
right on, however.
"Boy" at 5:19, after another fine scream. Oooouuu.. Mike
is fun-kay in this BMGS segment. He is very audible on
this cdsbd, all you Mike fans out there...
Definitely on the tramps, with da signals, as usual. From
now on, I'm only going to note if they are NOT on the
tramps, since this is a bit redundant. It is the "tramps
segment" after all (it took about 30 reviews for me to
figure this one out, naturally). Page's jamming in the
tramps segment is grand, but not as varied as 4/11/91.
At 9:22, the jam segment kicks in with Trey soloing
actively with fantastic, spectacular accompaniment from
Mike. Trey's soloing is captivating.. really is! He's
telling a story of sorts with the 'doc.. and Mike's
grooving is also quite grand. This jam segment is much
better than 4/11/91.. MUCH better. Trey's noodling really
well, in here.. but nothing spectacular for him..
At 12:06, bass and drums kick in, with Mike basically
teasing that funky tune "Rapper's Delight" by Grand Master
Flash... over, and over, again.. =^] Nothing else of
import.
At 12:43 the final vocal jam kicks in. Blah. I wasn't paying
attention.. "Put your balls in the butter" is allegedly repeated, so
I'm told. total time 15:35 or something. I'd recommend this second
set, fwiw. (B- rating)
