Well, this version opens similar to 4/15/86. Trey just
starts playing the instrumental opening, but it starts out
akin to the section after the TWANG (13 seconds in on the
ALO version). The "pre-Charge" section in here is unusual
in that, at the places where Trey hits The Notes, everyone
plays what they ordinarily would, except for Trey.. he
doesn't hit any high notes (not a very dramatic segment).
Plus, it is kinda sloppy.
Very quick opening segment. "Boy" comes in after the
charge (and modest screaming) at 4:32. The WUDMTF section
is rushed, along with this whole version.. a bit faster
than 4/15. Trey's guitar is suffering.. tuning-wise.
Akin to 4/15 all of them just jam it out after WUDMTF. No
Page-dominating segment, at all. At 8:20,
though, it sounded at first like Mike and Fish would get
their own session to wail in here.. and well, Mike does
become more prominent, but nothing really happens, and
then Trey comes in on WUDMTF vocal screeching and
craziness at 8:45.. this vocal chaos ending is the same
style/form as 4/15.. just screeching on WUDMTF. Total
time 9:32. Probably my shortest version of YEM, not
including the White Album's acapella YEM. Trey says:
"Quick reminder. There's a can in the kitchen [pause; the
small crowd laughs] that you're supposed to put your money
in." And someone else, whose voice I don't recognize,
says "And there's a bucket for the bathroom. [pause] That
you're supposed to urinate in." Then Trey goes "You're
supposed to put you're money in the can for the keg."
Marley is here... sounds like someone's basement... (D+ rating)
